Doug Faulkner is a rarity among the acknowledged masters of underwater photography in that he is equally proficient and well known for his work above the surface. His photographic work in Palau extends from 1967 to the current time. His coffee table book on Palau, This Living Reef, published in 1974, remains one of the classics of underwater photography.
